The copyright in the Macromolecular Structure Determination Course including coordinates and scripts but excluding sections explicitly marked otherwise (hereafter called "MSD COURSE MATERIAL") is owned by Birkbeck College, London, UK. Protein Crystallography on the Web (hereafter called "PX COURSE MATERIAL") constitutes a subset of the MSD COURSE MATERIAL.

Access to and use of the PX COURSE MATERIAL is free only to students and staff of the School of Crystallography, Birkbeck College. Distribution is prohibited.

Definition of Licensee

A Licensee must be a registered and paid-up student or member of staff of the School of Crystallography, Birkbeck College.

Grant of License

Subject to the terms hereof Birkbeck College grants the Licensee a non-exclusive licence and right to access and use the PX COURSE MATERIAL for personal, non-commercial use only.

Uses and Restrictions

  • The Licensee may access the PX COURSE MATERIAL through the internet provided that the Licensee complies with the terms of this license.
  • The Licensee is allowed to make copies of the PX COURSE MATERIAL in electronic, printed or other form for his/her own personal, non-commercial use only.
  • Birkbeck College retains the copyright on the PX COURSE MATERIAL in any such form.
  • The Licensee is not allowed to disclose the PX COURSE MATERIAL to any third party or to distribute the PX COURSE MATERIAL in any way or form.
  • The Licensee is not allowed to disclose his/her personal identifier and password to any third party.
  • Upon ceasing to be a registered paid-up student or member of staff of the School of Crystallography, Birkbeck College, the Licensee will continue to be bound by the terms of this License with respect to all copies in any form he/she may have made of the PX COURSE MATERIAL.

    Warranty and Limitation of Liability

    The PX COURSE MATERIAL is provided with tutorial support to a registered student of Birkbeck College. Birkbeck College makes every effort to include accurate and correct materials in this course. However, Birkbeck College assumes no liability or responsibility for any errors or omissions in the content of the PX COURSE MATERIAL.
